I love coffee!
My first cup of coffee of the day is a special moment. It’s one of life’s simple pleasures for me which invites me to be fully in the present moment and savour the taste of every sip, breathe in the aroma and feel the stillness and quietness of my house while everyone else is still asleep.
One of the my luxuries which I’m very grateful for, is my coffee machine; one of those priceless second-hand gifts from a friend when I moved into my home 3 years.
But because my coffee machine has been working very hard for many years, one of the warning lights, which indicates it will shortly need de-scaling is permanently on. It still loyally provides me with coffee every morning despite telling me that it’s pipes are bit furred up and it’s not flowing as freely as it would like to.
But this morning, the big warning light came on! The big, red warning light that says NO! No coffee for you today as you haven’t listened to my warning messages.
So what’s the point?
Our minds and bodies are our loyal friends and want to do the very best for us but we can’t just expect them to ‘provide our hot cup of coffee’ every morning if we don’t look after them.
The world we live in has created a human existence flooded with toxins; in our food, in the products we use in our home and on our bodies and is constantly pulling us out of a state of homeostasis; the state of balance where our energy is able to flow and support us to be physically, mentally and emotionally healthy.
Emotion is energy-in-motion and is supposed to be felt and expressed (released). We are not supposed to hang onto it or suppress it but trauma, unmet emotional needs and expectations of society and the world create fear and a lack of safety to be able to always express our emotions in a healthy way. And the resulting stuck emotion creates dis-ease in the physical body and pulls it out of homeostasis.
Unhelpful, negative thoughts, which may or may not be coming from limiting beliefs or mentally constructed perceptions of ourselves or the world around us, will also work against our bodies being in a state of homeostasis where it can heal itself.
So what’s the answer?
We have to raise awareness of what patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours are keeping us in a state of fear and disempowerment and we have to take back our power and raise our vibrational frequency to support our minds and bodies to be happy and healthy.
We have to regularly and consistently ‘de-scale’ our minds and bodies so they are able to flow freely and produce that exquisitely smooth cup of coffee every morning.
